The Khar cops are analyzing the case that jewelry worth over Rs. 53 lakh is lost from film maker Kiran Rao’s house in Bandra.
The first information report under Area 453 (theft in residing house, etc) of the Indian Penal Code
has been filed by Rao’s relative to the police.
Rao is wedded to acting professional Aamir Khan, and the two live in a flat on Jackson Road.
According to the police, Rao found sometime last week that a ring and a diamond necklace were lost from her bed room.
Following this, her relative gave an FIR at the Khar police station, under whose authority the family house drops.
Media could not reach the complainant. When media called Rao, she was unavailable for sharing her opinion. Khar cops have rejected to share their opinion. A senior official involved in the investigation verified that improvements happened in the case, on the condition that he will not be named.
Maids under suspicion
According to resources, cops authorities consider the family help as primary suspects and have been asking the three of them over the last five days. Each day, the three are took in the morning hours and let off only delayed in the night after a full day of investigation.
The resources added that the cops, while asking the suspects, are not referring to what exactly the mising jewelry items are, keeping their questions unexplained.
Those being inquired have been recognized as: the household cook Farzana, Rao’s assistant Suzanna, and family help Jhumki, according to resources. They are being inquired at Khar police station, where, resources said, they are made to sit from morning hours until night.
The police also made a visit to the houses of the three in their pursuit to find the losing pendant and band but have not come up with solid leads so far.
